Dennis S. Spisak is the former Assistant Principal of Struthers High School who is running for
the Struthers City Board of Education on the November 2013 ballot.
Dennis is married to his wife Molly, who teaches special needs children at
Manor Ave. School for the Mahoning County Educational Service Center. Their oldest child
is a 2007 graduate of Struthers High School. They have two children with special needs in the Struthers City Schools.
Dennis is a 1977 graduate of Struthers High School where he was a member of the WKTL-FM
afternoon polka program from 1974-77. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University and
his Masters Degree from The Ohio State University. He received his principal certification from the University of Dayton and
his superintendent certification from Ashland University.
Dennis Spisak has 25 years of experience in the field of education. He was a
classroom teacher at Centerville High School and served as an Assistant Principal for a combined
7 years at Genoa High School, Fairless High School, and Struthers High School. While at Genoa High School he also served as
the District's Athletic Director. Dennis was head principal at Southern Local High School in Coulmbiana
County for 7 years and also served as assistant principal at Indian River High School, a Department of Youth Services for
the state of Ohio that housed 350 youth prisoners.
Dennis has also served as principal at Brookfield Middle School in Trumbull County and is currently
the Assistant Principal for the University Learning Project Center for the Youngstown City Schools.
